Our walks range from 1 to 3 kilometers on easy, mostly flat ground. Some neighbourhood walks have a slight incline. But, we suggest that you wear very comfy shoes!

Vancouver is a big city but it’s easy to get around. Our tours start at different locations throughout the city but they’re all accessible whether you drive, get a Uber/Lyft, bike, walk, or take public transport. Please check each individual tour page to find out specific meeting instructions.

Our walking tours range from 2 – 3 hours, depending on your tour of choice, and cover about 1 – 3 kilometers. We start on time and stop at various sites along the way. The city’s sidewalks, weather, and terrain influence the pace. If you or a member of your group has a disability, please call us prior to booking your tour.

Some of our guests are non-drinkers. There is a range of non-alcoholic options available, and they are rapidly improving. Please let us know in advance if you have non-drinkers in the group so we can ensure that everyone gets the best, most inclusive experience possible on the tour.

Yes. All tours start near a TRANSLINK (metro) station.

Yes! We operate rain or shine like everyone in Vancouver. Dress for the weather or ask us and we’ll be happy to give our recommendation. We will only cancel Vancouver walking tours and active outdoor adventures due to severe weather forecasts, which very rarely happens.

Our version of a brewery tour combines beer (unsurprisingly!), history, sightseeing, and culture. This is an all-inclusive experience. You pay one price and we take care of everything else! We drink a few (3-4) 5-ounce beer taster glasses at several different breweries or pubs. Craft beer generally has a higher alcohol content so this winds up being a decent amount to drink in 3 hours. Most guests find it more than sufficient.

Our walks involve over 2 hours of walking, standing, eating and/or drinking. Some children may have limited attention span. This tour may not be a good choice for them.

We ask you to arrive 5-10 minutes before start time.

There is no minimum number of guests on our tours.

Yes. Hourly rates at street meters range from $1 to $7 per hour and parking in a paid lot is usually $10-$15 per hour. Outside of downtown, there’s free parking where signs are posted and parking meters are more affordable. Here’s a helpful parking app.

Our active outdoor adventures will often end where we began, but our drink and food tours do not begin and end at the same place. We always try to end at an interesting place where guests will want to continue to socialize or explore (ie. local market or brewery). If you do need to get back to where the tour began, we will absolutely show you how to get there, so no worries there!

Yes, we want you to be 100% satisfied. There’s no one quite like us! It’s always our goal to give you an unforgettable experience that gets you active, eating, drinking and enjoying the Vancouver community who bring it all to life. That means, everyone you come into contact with at Vancouver Local Adventures is committed to giving everything we’ve got so you have an experience that’s more than memorable, it’s unforgettable.
